Submitting a Common Land and Village Green Search (CON29 (O))

A search will show whether the land has been registered as common land or a village green and if there are rights of common or ownership claims.

You can request a Common Land Search by completing a CON29 (O) form and requesting Question 22.

Please include a plan and a fee of £16.80 (including VAT).

Question 22 will confirm whether the land has been registered as common land or a village green and if there are rights of common or ownership claims.

Submit your request online

You can electronically submit Question 22 on the CON29 (O) form as an additional question, when you submit a full local authority search on our online facility. 

The fee is £16.80 including VAT for Question 22.

You can pay by debit or credit card by phoning 01492 576 095 or 01492 576 094.

To avoid delays, you must submit your search with a plan, showing the clearly marked boundary of the property or area. The plan must also show the surrounding roads and properties.
