The Deposit Replacement Local Development Plan is out for public consultation and comments are welcome from 12 January to 8 March 2026.
The Council adopted the current Plan in October 2013. We carried out a full review of the current Plan and are now working on a new one, which we call the Replacement Local Development Plan (RLDP).
We are now at Stage 6 of producing the Replacement Local Development Plan – The Deposit Plan. The Deposit Plan contains the full suite of proposed local planning policies and proposed land allocations.
The Council must go through 8 stages to write our new Plan. We are now at Stage 6 of producing the Replacement Local Development Plan – The Deposit Plan. The Deposit Plan contains the full suite of proposed local planning policies and proposed land allocations.
Please note that the Replacement Local Development Plan will not be used to determine planning applications until it reaches Stage 8: Adoption. For the current plan please see the Adopted Local Development Plan.
