Please see the latest guidance on using PPE during high temperatures

As you will be aware, Public Health Wales published the PPE Guidance on implementation and further supplementary advice last Thursday, 9th April 2020. The key change in this guidance is the addition on table 4: “additional considerations, in addition to standard infection prevention and control precautions, where there is sustained transmission of Covid-19.”

We have updated the guidance and the requisition form to reflect these changes that you now need to complete to request further PPE, this will now be an organisational request rather than a request for an individual. As you will see from the form we will need to understand your risk assessment for sessional and single use for masks and goggles.

Please return this completed form to us by Monday 10am on a weekly basis.

In the PHW Supplementary advice there is a visual poster for the donning and doffing of PPE, please ensure your staff follow this.

These sets of guidance are crucial to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and it is essential that you take the time to understand, implement and put risk assessments for these within your organisation.
