Advice and support event for young people aged 15-24

Future Booster
Conwy County Borough Council is holding an advice and support event for young people aged 15-24 at Coleg Llandrillo on 21 October between 10am and 4pm. The event is tailored for young people as they consider the choices that they face in their career, training, housing, well-being and more.
Young people face an array of challenges and opportunities, and staff from the Conwy Youth, Engagement and Belonging Service will be on hand to provide details of the advice, activities and support they can offer to help them face the future. There’ll be a chance to hear about the community clubs and targeted projects it runs for young people across Conwy County including: advice and guidance around youth homelessness; post 16 opportunities for young people not in education, employment or training (NEET); and support for wellbeing and mental health.
As part of the event Coleg Llandrillo, Careers Wales, COPA training and Conwy Employment Hub will also be on hand to provide information about college courses, help to find jobs or apprenticeships and details about opportunities for training.
Other exhibitors include North Wales Police, Wynne Construction, JIWSI, Barnardos, Conwy Connect and many more.
Cyng Aaron Wynne, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, said, “The event is designed to provide a range of information all in one place. Facing the future can be daunting for many young people as they navigate the options and choices available to them. We’d encourage people to come along, have a cuppa, and find out the support that’s available to help them on their journey.”
Young people can drop into the event at any time. Refreshments are available.
