Conwy Youth Service is an 'open access' service for all young people aged between 11 - 25 years living within the county.
The primary focus of Conwy Youth Service is to facilitate and support young people's growth and transition to adulthood. We do this by encouraging their personal and social education and helping them to take a positive role in the development of their communities and society. Conwy Youth Service is also responsible for the management of the Communities First Programme.
Conwy Youth Service is a service for all young people aged between 11-25 years living in Conwy, however, priority is given to those aged between 13-19 years.
We provide a range of services in the following areas:
- Youth Clubs and Activities
- Youth Information
- Sports and Activities
- DofE (Duke of Edinburgh)
- Employability support for 16-18 years
- Project work in schools
Young people engage with the service on a voluntary basis and build positive trusting relationships with Youth Service staff, this in turn helps the young people to explore the issues affecting their lives.
The opportunities available to young people range from building based youth clubs and street work to youth work in our mobile youth clubs and project work in Schools. In addition, the youth service actively supports the delivery of the DofE (Duke of Edinburgh Award) throughout the county.
