Llandudno Seeks Community Leader to Chair New Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board

Pride in Place Programme
Applications are invited from individuals with a strong local knowledge or connection to the community to take on the role of Independent Chair and lead on the creation of a new Llandudno Neighbourhood Board. This role offers the chance to guide the programme as it embarks on a once‑in‑a‑generation community‑led regeneration project.
Thanks to up to £20 million of long‑term UK Government investment, the Pride in Place Programme will support residents and partners across parts of Tudno and Mostyn to shape a 10‑year vision for a stronger, more vibrant, and more resilient Llandudno.
The new Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board will place local people at the heart of decision‑making, to help ensure that investment reflects community priorities. The Chair will play a pivotal role in championing local voices, leading strategic discussions, and fostering inclusive, community‑centred governance.
“This is a rare opportunity for someone who truly believes in Llandudno and its future,” said Cllr Julie Fallon, Leader of Conwy County Borough Council. “We’re looking for someone who can bring people together, listen, and help guide a shared vision for change that is led by the community.”
Claire Hughes MP for Bangor Aberconwy:
“This investment isn’t just about funding; it’s about empowering local people in Tudno and Mostyn to drive the changes they want to see. I’m delighted to support the creation of this new Board and look forward to seeing a strong, collaborative Chair help bring the community’s vision for Llandudno to life.”
The voluntary role requires around 8–10 hours per month (possibly more in the early stages) and is open to individuals with a strong connection to the Tudno and Mostyn area in Llandudno. Experience in community leadership or regeneration is welcome, but commitment, integrity, and a belief in local empowerment is what matters most.
Applicants are invited to submit an application by Thursday 16th April 2026.
