This relief is aimed at businesses in Wales in the Retail, Leisure & Hospitality sectors, for example, shops, pubs and restaurants, gyms, performance venues and hotels. Qualifying hereditaments will automatically receive 100% relief on their business rates for the financial year 2021-22. In order to qualify, an assessment must either be in the Retail, Leisure & Hospitality sectors with a rateable value of under £500,000 and cannot be listed on page 5 of the Welsh Government guidance under point 20 which can be found on the link below.
