You only need to apply for a junior (Year 3) place if your child currently attends an infant school and will need to move to a junior school in September 2027.

Important, please read: As well as completing the Conwy School Admission Form, you will also need to complete a supplementary information form (SIF) if your first-choice school is one of the following schools. This SIF form is available to download on completion of the Conwy School Admission Form:
- Ysgol Bendigaid William Davies
- Ysgol Bodafon
- Ysgol Pen y Bryn
- Ysgol San Sior
- Ysgol St Joseph
- Ysgol Y Plas
Closing dates for applications are:
- Nursery applications: 15 February 2027
- Reception and Junior applications: 15 January 2027
Admission to the Nursery class will not guarantee admission to the Reception class. You will need to reapply for admission to the Reception class next year.
You will receive information about your application for a school place by:
- Nursery applications: 5 May 2027
- Reception and Junior applications: 16 April 2027
Late applications: We will allocate places first to applications we receive by the closing date. Late applications will not be processed until we have processed all applications sent by the closing date, unless you can justify the delay. This follows our admissions policy for oversubscription. If you send in a late application without good reason you may be disappointed if your preferred school is oversubscribed.
