The Council’s Rapid Rehousing vision is as follows:

‘Key services deliver a coordinated approach to homelessness prevention activities to ensure homelessness in Conwy is rare. Where homelessness cannot be prevented, people can move into settled accommodation quickly and can access appropriate support, to ensure that homelessness is unrepeated.  If temporary accommodation is required it will be used for a short period only.’

Prevention of homelessness is the primary focus of the Plan. To achieve this, there is a need to change the way services are delivered. This plan outlines the changes that are required over the next five years and beyond.

Welsh Government has produced Rapid Rehousing: guidance – How we will help those who experience homelessness find settled housing faster.  (Published 24 August 2022)
