Joint housing land availability studies

Summary (optional)
start content

Local planning authorities have to ensure that sufficient land is available, or will become available for a five year supply for housing.

Annual surveys take place of all sites with planning permission for residential development in Conwy County Borough (excluding Snowdonia National Park). This information is then used to calculate whether the land available can meet the anticipated need for housing land over the next five years. The final report is agreed by members of the study group and published, based on national guidance produced by the Welsh Government.
