In 2017 we started a project to develop a new Family Centre for our Family Support Team in Central Conwy (Colwyn Bay and surrounding communities). After consulting with the professionals in the area and people in the community funding was agreed in 2020 for the old school in Douglas Road Colwyn Bay to be refurbished. This included a plot of land to create a play Space. The vision was that this would be a hub where families could take part in activities, meet other people in the community, and access support from our Family Support Team and other services such as domestic abuse, benefits advice and health visitors.
The refurbishment was successfully completed in January 2022 and we are pleased to be able to share with you the full story of the site’s development as well as information about the services and facilities that are now available.
