The Minerals and Waste section of the LDP will include input from the North Wales Minerals and Waste Planning Team, who provide a shared planning service across North Wales for applications and planning policy matters including LDPs. The section is mainly concerned with safeguarding mineral reserves (i.e. quarries) and areas of land that contain certain mineral deposits. It also seeks to allocate/provide criteria based policy on locations for waste management developments such as transfer stations, recycling centres and anaerobic digestion.
