Risk Management Strategy
At Conwy County Borough Council, we are committed to delivering high-quality, value-for-money services that meet the needs of our communities. To do this effectively, we must understand and manage the risks that could impact our ability to achieve our goals.
Our Risk Management Strategy sets out how we identify, assess, manage, and monitor our risks, helping us to understand whether they present challenges or opportunities. Risk is an inherent part of public service delivery, and while we cannot eliminate it entirely, we can take a proactive and informed approach to control and mitigate it.
Our guide below ensures that risk management is embedded in our culture and decision-making processes. It supports transparency, accountability, and resilience across all areas of the council’s work, including our partnerships and service planning. By managing risk effectively, we protect public trust, safeguard resources, and enable innovation in how we serve our communities.
