Who can TRAC work with?
- Young people that are eligible for the project will be referred by their school or college.
- A range of information is considered to determine if a young person is eligible for the project, for example attendance, attainment and behaviour.
What does TRAC offer?
The project is delivered by a team in Conwy which includes interventions such as:
- One to one well-being support and action planning for the future
- One to one counselling support
- Therapeutic workshops looking at behaviour and other well-being factors
- Access to accredited and non-accredited courses delivered by TRAC providers
- Careers guidance and work experience delivered and arranged by Careers Wales
The aim of TRAC is to ensure that young people at risk of disengaging and at risk of becoming NEET maximise their opportunities for success in adult life. Participants will benefit from improvements to their overall health, wellbeing and welfare.
The team work closely with Careers Wales, schools, other local authority departments, further education colleges and work based learning providers to provide a comprehensive service within the county. The team also establish close links with families and schools to support the participants.
