What can I bring?
- Household items such as furniture, hard plastic (for example, toys), scrap metal, electrical items (for example fridges, cookers) and bulky items like mattresses.
- Recycling such as plastic bottles, cardboard and glass
- Garden waste
- Non-recyclable items such as polystyrene
What can’t I bring?
- Please do not bring unsorted waste – make sure you separate recyclable items before you come.
We cannot accept DIY or construction waste such as rubble, windows, doors, soil, wood or plasterboard. You will need to take these items to the Household Recycling Centres
Our Household Recycling Centres are more likely to be closed due to adverse weather conditions during winter opening hours. We aim to keep these sites open and only close them to keep residents and staff safe.
Please note: It may not be possible to notify residents with appointments of site closures during weekends or in the event of sudden changes in weather. It is your responsibility to monitor weather conditions and make bookings in line with the guidance below.
These guidelines are especially important for the sites at Abergele and Rhyl where strong winds are a particular problem.

We recommend only making a booking for a site outside the affected area or for a date and time when the weather warning is not in force.
