Person Centred Practice (PCP) in the Early Years – Remote online training via Microsoft Teams

The Training session is for Setting Leaders and staff members with responsibility for additional needs, the training will include:

• Session 1 will provide an introduction to PCP approaches and how to create a one page profile.
• Session 2 will help to review a one page profile and provide an overall view of how to contribute to a Person centred Review.

The Training will give the participants:

• Introduction to Person Centred Practice and its place within the new ALN and Education Tribunal Act in Wales.
• Include how to create a one page profile for a child with additional learning needs as part of information      gathering.
• The Training will provide an overview of how this information can contribute to a Person Centred Review as part of monitoring Additional learning provision for a child within the Early Years.
• Participants will have the opportunity to practise writing a one page profile.

This information will assist Leaders and staff with responsibilities for additional needs to prepare for the new Bill to be in place by September 2021.
