The following privacy notice applies to Estates and Asset Management, specifically in respect of the acquisition and disposal of land and properties and the management and letting of land and property by the Council to third parties/individuals, and where Estates and Asset Management is the first point of contact.

Purpose for Processing and Legal Basis

The processing is necessary to deliver the required service to you.  We will use the information to improve our service where possible, without identifying you.

The processing will also be necessary for the potential performance of a contract with you and to protect your  vital interests , the Council and/or another person when entering into that contract.

Without certain details we may be unable to deliver the service to you.

  • Financial Details

Who we might share your information with?

  • Other Services (including Councillors) within Conwy County Borough Council
  • Land Registry
  • Other County/Borough/District/Town Councils
  • Financial Institutions (eg banks, building societies, credit check agencies)
  • Solicitors
  • Other Property Professionals

How long will we hold your information?

We will hold your information for the duration of our contract/agreement with you.  We will continue to hold your information following the termination of our contract/agreement with you for a period of up to 12 years AFTER the Council releases its legal interest in the land or property for which there was a contract/agreement in place.

Whether the provision of personal data is part of a statutory or contractual requirement or obligation and the possible consequences of failing to provide the personal data.

The provision of personal data will be a contractual obligation.  Failure to provide personal data may result in the Council being unable to deliver the required service to you.
