Future Routes – Active Travel

Summary (optional)
Future Active Travel routes, including existing pavements and roads we can upgrade, shown on our integrated network maps.
start content

Our Integrated Network Mapping (INM) shows future Active Travel routes. These might be brand new routes, or existing pavements and roads for us to improve to Active Travel guidance standards.

These routes were approved by Welsh Government in February 2018. These routes are only the beginning of this process and we have to resubmit improved plans every three years.

These proposed routes are part of a 15 year improvement programme. Creating these routes will depend on Active Travel scheme funding, and routes may change as they are developed.

The maps below show what the public has requested so far and how we think we can best provide these routes.

NOTE: Because we are not yet at the detailed design stage, each route shown on the map represents the general direction of the route, not the exact final placement.
